MaKami College's Early Learning and Child Care programs are creating the skilled, compassionate educators Calgary families depend on. MaKami's one-year certificate program prepares educators for daycares, preschools, and kindergarten centres, while the diploma program builds advanced skills in program design and daycare management. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Calgary and Area’s Adult in-school mentoring programs match six- to 12-year-old children and youth with mentors, fostering intentional, evidence-based mentoring relationships which help mentees become more resilient and successful. The Teen school-based mentoring program matches elementary-aged children with teens from local junior and senior high schools. Their weekly meetings are supported in their school with supervision by a mentoring coordinator. Foothills Academy offers a full-time school program for students with Learning Disabilities from Grades 3 to 12. Pacekids Programs is a charitable organization that strives to empower children with diverse needs and their families through excellence in therapy and education. Pacekids provides preschool and Kindergarten programs for children aged 2.8 years to six years that can be accessed through Program Unit Funding (PUF) with Alberta Education. Pacekids is moving and opening additional classroom seats for the 2025-2026 school year! Pacekids also offers six programs for children aged six months to 17 years funded through Family Services for Children with Disabilities (FSCD).

Providence offers two unique Alberta Education-funded program streams: those based in our own six schools across Calgary and those based in approved community preschools or childcare programs (our LEARN Program). Both programs are designed to support children identified with a delay or disability from ages two-years-and-eight-months to six years old. The Mount Royal University Children’s Choirs seek to educate and develop the musicianship of our singers while also exposing them to the creative and imaginative possibilities that performing arts can provide. Each ensemble undertakes suitably challenging and quality repertoire, meaningful collaborations, and impactful performances. Ariel choir for singers in Kindergarten. Welcome to Triple Threat YYC, where young performers dive into the magic of singing, dancing, and acting in a fun, collaborative space! We believe every child brings something special to the stage, which is why our programs are audition-free and focus on community over competition. Over each four-month semester, students, ages eight and up, will build skills in dancing, singing, and acting, culminating in a special performance for friends and family!

Apollo Taekwon-Do is a dynamic martial arts school dedicated to teaching traditional ITF Taekwon-Do in a modern, supportive environment. Led by passionate, qualified instructors, Apollo Taekwon-Do offers classes that emphasize technique, fitness, self-defense, and personal growth. Athletica Gymnastics welcomes everyone! Through gymnastics, we seek to develop each person individually, with exercises that challenge you both physically and mentally. We offer a selection of activities and programs to complement one another, meaning there is a suitable program for any age group. Safety is our first priority, followed by our commitment to creating lifelong athletes.

Just Keep Swimming teaches children and adolescents with mild to moderate neurological and developmental disabilities to swim confidently, play safely, and enjoy the water. Our trained instructors provide 1:1 or 1:2 support, using fun, adaptable techniques tailored to each child’s needs. Seasonal swimming lessons and summer day camps focus on building skills, confidence, and friendships celebrating every swimmer’s unique abilities and leaving them wanting to just keep swimming.

Kronos Triathlon Club is Calgary’s premier community for young athletes and their families, welcoming kids and teens ages two to 19 across all skill levels – from beginners to competitive athletes. 

Keep the kids active in the pool with group swim lessons starting at four months or check out private lessons offering a more customized approach. For more advanced swimmers, check out our Sea Dragons Swim and Lifesaving Clubs or older kids may be ready to train to become a lifeguard. In our Active Living program, preschoolers ages two to five will learn through hands-on activities in all areas of our spacious facility – gym, pool, park, and classroom. PD Camps keeps kids ages five to 12 busy exploring different sports and games, plus some time in the pool during those days off from school. New this winter, Active Energizers, is a six-week program designed with inclusivity in mind for children ages five to 12 and of all abilities.

Rocky Mountain Diving Club (RMDC) offers recreational Learn-to-Dive and, pre-competitive programs for all ages. Our goal is to provide quality technical springboard and platform diving instruction at the introductory level in a safe, controlled, and fun environment. We incorporate trampoline and dry board training, as well as dry land strength and flexibility conditioning into all lessons.

Trico Centre for Family Wellness wants your family to be #tricotough and active! Come swim with us in our wave pool with waterslide, water features, hot tub, and steam rooms. We offer many children’s programs: skating, swimming, dance, gymnastics, and martial arts to teach children the fundamental movement skills, confidence, and how fun it is to be active. Active Living, part of the Faculty of Kinesiology at the University of Calgary, offers a range of health and wellness programs, facilities, and educational opportunities designed to inspire lifelong active lifestyles for everyone.
