Big Brothers Big Sisters of Calgary and Area’s Adult in-school mentoring programs match six- to 12-year-old children and youth with mentors, fostering intentional, evidence-based mentoring relationships which help mentees become more resilient and successful. The Teen school-based mentoring program matches elementary-aged children with teens from local junior and senior high schools. Their weekly meetings are supported in their school with supervision by a mentoring coordinator. We nurture emergent literacy and each class includes music, large motor movement opportunity, circle time, and centre time in our well-equipped and child-centered classrooms. Kindergarten Enhancement is an early literacy half-day program which combines with the child’s half-day in Kindergarten to create a full day at school. Out-of-school care is for children in Kindergarten to Grade 6.

Ready, Set, Go! (RSG) is a play-based, emergent curriculum preschool designed for children ages three to five with locations in the communities of Bowness, Renfrew and Penbrooke. Pacekids provides preschool and kindergarten programs for children aged 2.8 years to six years that can be accessed through Program Unit Funding (PUF) with Alberta Education. Pacekids is moving and opening additional classroom seats for the 2025-2026 school year! Pacekids also offers six programs for children aged six months to 17 years funded through Family Services for Children with Disabilities (FSCD).

BTLC uses the established and well-researched principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) to teach preschool and Kindergarten students with the unique learning needs and challenges associated with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. BTLC’s success is based on small class size, intensive and individualized programming using effective, research-based teaching strategies, a high ratio of adult support, and opportunities for integration in community schools.

Foothills Academy offers a full-time school program for students with Learning Disabilities from Grades 3 to 12. We provide targeted support in literacy, numeracy, and executive functioning for each student while also covering the full Alberta Education curriculum in small classes and a supportive environment. Providence offers two unique Alberta Education-funded program streams: those based in our own six schools across Calgary and those based in approved community preschools or childcare programs (our LEARN Program).
