Over the past 13 years, with five children of various ages, I have organized a total of 45 birthday parties. We have had many fun, inexpensive, in-home birthday parties customized for the birthday child’s desired theme. Involving the birthday child also gives them a valuable appreciation for the effort required to host a party.

Children with winter birthdays might have the good fortune of sharing their special day with classmates, but they also get the short end of the stick when it comes to outdoor activities. If party guests trek over snow and ice to help celebrate, reward them with a spectacular time. Don your hats, your coats, and your sense of adventure!

Now that the weather is cold, gone are the days of the outdoor pool parties and people are planning fun indoor party themes instead. One of my favorite party themes that is great for all ages is a Movie Night Party. Who doesn’t love a fun movie night complete with a concession stand of delicious treats?! This party works for young guests with short cartoons or even older kids with a double-feature movie and slumber party.
